The SOG Flash 1 knife is one of my favorite knives. My other favorite is my Kershaw Skyline Knife (read review here). The SOG Flash 1 is smaller than the Kershaw Skyline so is easier to carry in more situations. It is my main EDC knife (everyday carry). The clip sits slightly higher than the knife so when you clip it to your pocket (I normally carry in my front right pants pocket) the SOG knife sits below the pocket line. This makes the Flash 1 virtually invisible. So whether wearing dress slacks, jeans, or shorts no one can tell you are carrying a knife. Very discreet and won’t freak anyone out. I thought I would do a quick review of this great product because I was just on Amazon ordering some more. I did a lot of research. The Leatherman PS4 sounds like it may edge out the Gerber Dime Mirco Tool ever so slightly but at a premium in price. I carry the Gerber Dime multitool loose in my pocket with my keys. It was a little heavy to attach to key chain. I’ve used it a handful of times in the last 6 months – mostly the pliers and package opening tool. This is a well made quality tool. Not meant for heavy duty tasks – it is a pocket tool. Costs about $15 at Amazon.com. The Leatherman P4 costs about $23 at Amazon.com.. Save the $7-$8 and get the Gerber Dime Multi-tool! loan for poor The Gerber Dime Micro package opening tool is great! Kershaw Skyline Knife – The best EDC knife Kershaw Skyline pocket knife is a great knife, fairly low profile, very sharp, easy open. I love this Skyline knife. It is my EDC (every day carry) knife. The clip allows knife to sit fairly low in my pocket so tip doesn’t stick out too much (about 1/2″) and shout “I’m carrying a knife!” as many of my other knives do. I like it to be discreet. The Kershaw Skyline Knife is not an assist opening knife, which initially I wasn’t sure about since I like assisted opening knives — but this knife is so smooth, it will flick open with minimal effort using the flipper. Way faster than USB 2.0 drives – up to 10x faster. Great drive for backups, storing movies, and other data. I’m using it for storing my graphic files. Over the years I have accumulated close to 2TBs of stock photos, and other graphics. I have the B170 model (Costco $149) and started with the B31 model (Walmart $99)… So for $60 this is a really good deal – even comes with an 18 cup box of coffee pods. Let me warn you, K-cups can get addictive! There are so many varieties available – regular & decaf – from mild to extra bold, flavored, cocoa, tea… you name it. On average the cups cost about $.60 ea.. so not cheap if you drink a lot of coffee. But for that morning cup, or evening cup of decaf, you will love your Keurig. I like really strong coffee, my wife likes medium strong… now we both have what we want! To save money, you can purchase the Keurig K-cup adaptor or a 3rd party adaptor on Amazon
Read more →This is a great camera bag and a pretty good deal. $50 w/free shipping. I bought one a few years ago for my Canon T1i SLR. It holds a couple lenses, extra cards, etc. I even have my Canon 450 Elf in one pocket. It has one strap that goes across your chest – head, one arm and shoulder slips through strap (sling). It has a side opening, so if you are walking and see something you want to photo, you slide the pack to your front, open the side, take your camera out, take the shot, then put camera back in, zip up, and slide it back to your back. Initially I wasn’t sure I wanted to spend that much on a camera bag, but am glad I did. If I’m going somewhere, I can just grab the bag and everything, including flash is there. And it is comfortable
